AFSCME, the largest trade union of public employees in the United States, endorses former union member Andrei Cherny in his campaign for Congress.
PHOENIX – The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), the largest trade union of public employees in the United States, announced its endorsement of Andrei Cherny in his campaign for Arizona’s first Congressional District. Andrei is a former member of multiple unions including AFSCME and the son of a Teamster and a public school teacher.
“As a union member, I’m proud to be endorsed by the largest trade union of public employers in the country,” said Cherny. “As the son of a Teamster and a public school teacher, I grew up knowing just how important it is to build an economy that works for everyone. Andrei Cherny is a former U.S. Navy reserve Intelligence Officer, an Arizona Assistant Attorney General who prosecuted fraudsters and border smuggling rings, and CEO of a climate change-fighting business.
